About Kardia Integrative Psychiatry
Kardia Integrative Psychiatry was founded on the belief that meaningful psychiatric care requires both clinical precision and human connection.
Mental health is approached through a structured, integrative lens — combining evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management with careful consideration of biological, psychological, and lifestyle factors that influence well-being. Treatment is personalized and collaborative, shaped by clinical judgment and a shared understanding of each individual’s goals and context.
Our work centers on integrative psychiatric care that includes careful assessment of biological, metabolic, environmental, relational, and nervous system influences — including nutritional status, stress physiology, and other factors shaping mental health. Clinical decisions are informed by clinical insight, individual variability in biology and treatment response, and a systems-based understanding of the mechanisms influencing symptom expression. This depth of evaluation supports improved function, greater clarity, and sustainable wellness over time.

Founder & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than two decades of nursing experience in critical care and outpatient settings — experiences that shaped my respect for the complexity of human physiology and the resilience of the nervous system. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University and my Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University, where I completed advanced graduate training in psychiatric mental health.
I am currently completing advanced fellowship training in functional and integrative psychiatry through Psychiatry Redefined. This ongoing training continues to deepen my understanding of integrated, systems-based psychiatric assessment — evaluating how biological, metabolic, hormonal, and stress-related systems interact to shape mental health.
My clinical approach integrates traditional psychiatric training with a systems-based, nursing-informed perspective that recognizes the interplay between physiology, development, stress response, and lived experience. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood instability, attention-related concerns, and periods of transition. Many are thoughtful individuals seeking a deeper understanding of the factors influencing their symptoms and treatment response.
Care may include medication optimization, targeted evaluation of biological and environmental contributors, and education around nervous system regulation and adaptive patterns. My role is to provide careful assessment, thoughtful synthesis, and collaborative guidance — supporting steady progress toward clarity, resilience, and sustainable mental wellness.
